Scientific focus
BioTalentum’s scientific focus is on medical and animal biotechnologies, recently concentrating on stem cell research (human, mouse, rabbit iPSCs, embryonic stem cells, cancer stem cells, 2D and 3D patient specific iPSC-derived neuronal, cardiac and other cell types).
Our mission is developing and supplying human stem cell-based tools for diseases modelling, in vitro toxicology and regenerative medicine.
We provide solutions to researchers in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical, and academic sectors worldwide, including:

We participate in a great number of research projects sponsored by the European Commission
The company is very active in European research, as BioTalentum was full research partner in four EU FP6 projects, while in FP7 we successfully participated in 17 projects, among which in 9 as scientific coordinator.
In H2020 programme, BioTalentum had 15 winning projects: including 12 closed projects (CasR – MSCA ITN, IN3 – MSCA ITN, NABBA – MSCA ITN, PurinesDX – MSCA ITN, EuToxRisk – large RIA, DRYNET – RISE, BrainStem – Center of Excellence, SciChallenge – RIA, GROWTH – Erasmus+, iNanoBIT – RIA and DohART-NET – MSCA ITN, TUBE – RIA, ADAIR – ERA-NET) and 3 ongoing projects (EMAPS-Cardio – RIA, DIRNANO – MSCA, EuroGCT – CSA).
Since Horizon Europe was launched, five new projects have received funding at BioTalentum: 3 new MSCA Doctoral Networks actions (MMM, TClock 4AD and Chrom_Rare), 1 MSCA Staff Exchange (WhyNotDry) and 2 H2020 ERA-NET actions, including one JPND (EPI-3E) and one NEURON (NDCil). Additionally, BIOT has joined 4 COST actions (BenBedPhar, HAPLO-iPS, IMMUPARKNET, GenE-Humdi).
From partner and grant search to Grant Agreement signature:
- Proposal writing/support in submission, and in the preparation phase: application profiling, proposal concept formation and partner search, with taking into account the content / format related application criteria.
- Technical and administrative management of the grant preparation phase, financial support for the budget preparation.
- Complete contract negotiation support (through intensive communication with all partners, preparation of scientific, administrative annexes, Consortium Agreement)
Coordination and administrative management of complete projects:
- Periodic and Final report preparation/submission.
- Project progress monitoring.
- Organization of project meetings/reviews/workshops.
- Financial advisory services for reporting and for audit purposes.
