With a strong background in management consulting and the banking sector, she brings extensive experience as an Account and Project Manager, having previously held roles such as Relationship Manager and Branch Manager. Her expertise spans Corporate Finance, Banking and Portfolio Management.

A graduate of Szent István University in Gödöllő, she is a seasoned sales and consulting professional. As Director of Consulting at BioTalentum Ltd., she oversees Hungarian research grant applications and EU proposal development and project management in EU Framework Programs. Her responsibilities also include a broad range of dissemination and outreach activities, as well as maintaining relationships with both national and international partners.

In addition, she plays a key role in shaping and executing the company’s sales and marketing strategies and contributes to high-level decision-making processes.

After working as European project manager at various higher education institutions (ELTE and Semmelweis University), Karolina joined the BioTalentum Consulting team as senior project manager in 2021. Thanks to her scientific background and experience in the EU funding field, she has developed great sensitivity to the problems faced by researchers involved in European R&I collaborations. Through the many services offered by BioTalentum Consulting, she is supporting research teams from the application phase to the management of grants and dissemination of project results.

Mariann Jakab has a BSC in Economy, and an MSC in Marketing Studies. She has more than 10 years’ experience with leading projects in different fields (scientific, knowledge-transfer, and ERP deployment). She has a multinational background with strong communication skills, and problem-solving mindset.
