SynMech is an EU-funded project (Horizon-EIC-2022-Pathfinderopen-01-01; Grant ID: 101099579) developing a new class of mechanogenetic technologies, tools that combine genetics, materials science and magnetic stimulation to control how neurons communicate. By remotely and precisely activating specific synapses, SynMech aims to restore normal brain connectivity in disorders such as stroke and epilepsy (https://www.synmechproject.eu/).
